Zoey Hart is a multimedia artist, educator, and collaborator living with chronic autoimmunity. She splits her time between her studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn and North Adams (Mass MoCA), MA. Combining traditional drawing techniques with alternative printmaking, meditation, and fiber-based collage, Hart’s work challenges perceptions of imperfection —environmental, social, and organic — through the collection and manipulation of images and found environmental materials.
Hart received her MA in studio printmaking and international art education from NYU, Gallatin (2015), and previously studied Drawing and Printmaking at Brandeis University and Glasgow School of Art.
Through image-making, installation, mindfulness-based art workshops and social collaboration, Hart’s work merges internal and external realities by manipulating biological and environmental landscapes.
In addition to developing her own studio practice, Hart is the founder of SEE FEEL CREATE, a series of international art workshops and collaborations , and has worked as a teaching artist with More Art , Project Art, and The Art Studio NY. Hart also leads various workshops for groups and private students.
